If you have no choice...
This is "the place" simply because there is no other "place". I doubt this place could survive in any other city. It looks old and dark, the building is a mismatch of Texan/Arizona and...the old world?? Some bartenders are great, others (especially the old ones) tend to be rude with zero patience. Sundays are hell, it's like an open zoo. I'm not a big fan of crowds so my favourite day is fridays evenings around 5 or 6pm.
It's all right.
Was here in Oct '09, and while it's not overly shiny or new, JR's holds to the standard of JR's everywhere. Good drinks, good service, and a diverse group of willing guys. Back patio area, strippers, pool table - this is a good place to hang, but not great.
Damn
This was truly sad! I felt like that snickers commercial - Need a moment? one hot foul mess after the next! drunk mexicans kept grabbing my dick most of the night (which I don't mind if your attrative, average or hwp) but none of the above applied. WAY TOO MANY of the arched eyebrows, made up trying to hard! and giving their best TJ MAXX/ROSS or Marshall Ed Hardy Finds This is such a cheap city I now get Y Dallas is the better destination in TX. If u are ever faced with the choice of going to Houston or Hell? You may want to choose the later at least it may be more interesting with hotter guys other than the dick dancers
Screw Jrs
I dont advise anyone to go there they treated me like shit and i will let everyone know that i come in contact with. If you want to know what happen i'll post it in a few days.
Great for Everyone
JR's is a bar that everyone can enjoy. There is good music, diverse crowd, dancers, patio. I always enjoy it.
